Hole Lotta Love!

“You can’t wear a scarf in the Summer!” a very excitable Parisian waiter told me once. “Oh, but I can if it’s got lots of holes,” I replied…at least, I think that’s what I said in my rather unpractised French! And that conversation provided the inspiration for my Hole Lotta Love! knitting pattern – a small, lightweight triangular shawl with plenty of airy holes to keep you cool and stylish on the hottest days, and cosy during the cooler evenings.

This delightful one skein pattern uses a simple lace stitch to create twisted eyelets that not only look amazing, but also makes it light to wear. It’s a fun, rhythmic pattern, and whilst I’ve used a wool blend yarn for the pattern sample, you could also use lightweight cotton or linen for a truly summery feel.

Not only is it simple to knit, but the finished accessory is also easy and versatile to style. Wear it as a scarf or a small, lightweight shawl – however you choose, it's the perfect summertime accessory to enjoy all year round. And once you've finished your first, you'll surely add more to your wardrobe!

Happy Knitting!

Unwind with this wonderfully relaxing knit. Whether you’re a beginner looking for an introduction to lace stitches or a more experienced knitter seeking a satisfying escape, this is the perfect pattern for when you find yourself soaking up the sun in the garden, relaxing on the beach, or even just lounging around at home.
